Giveaway Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase or payment will not improve your chances of winning. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

These Official Rules apply to a community giveaway offered through a Signet campaign (the Giveaway). By entering, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor and the Administrator, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Giveaway.

Each Giveaway is sponsored by the brand running the campaign (the Sponsor). The Sponsor's legal name and address are shown on that campaign's page and in the campaign-specific rules. Frienda Co. (d/b/a Signet), 300 Oakwood Ct., Jefferson Hills, PA 15025, is the Administrator: it operates the platform and conducts the drawing on the Sponsor's behalf, and is not the Sponsor of the prize unless expressly stated for a given campaign.

The Giveaway is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. A Sponsor may raise the minimum age (for example, to 21 where the prize requires it) or limit entry to particular states; where it does, the restriction is shown on the campaign before you join.

You are not asked for your date of birth or state of residence to enter, and entering does not require them. If you are selected as the potential winner, we confirm both, as one of the required claim steps described below, before the prize is awarded. A potential winner who cannot be verified as eligible is not paid; the prize is held until verification is complete, and is forfeited under the same claim deadline that applies to any other required claim step.

• Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor and of the Administrator, and their immediate family and household members, are not eligible.
• The Giveaway is void in any jurisdiction where it is prohibited or restricted by law.
• You must have a Signet account in good standing to enter. A Signet account is free, and no purchase or payment of any kind is required to open or keep one.

The Giveaway runs for as long as the campaign offers a grand prize. Entries are tallied per calendar month (Coordinated Universal Time), and one drawing is held for each calendar month.

A month's entries close, and the full list of entrants is published, on the 3rd day of the following month at 00:00 UTC. An entry is credited to the month in which the qualifying Story was POSTED, not the month in which it finished verification, so a slow review cannot move you into a different drawing. A qualifying Story posted near the end of a month but verified after that month has already closed is credited to the next open month rather than discarded.

Standard entry

During the Entry Period, post a qualifying Story for the campaign that satisfies the campaign's posting requirements (including any required mention and a clear and conspicuous paid-partnership or #ad disclosure). Each verified qualifying Story earns one (1) entry (ticket) into that month's drawing.

One Story, one entry. Entries are not scaled by points, by follower count, by spend, or by anything else. Five verified Stories are five entries; one verified Story is one entry.

Entry limit (the same for both methods)

No entrant may hold more than 10 entries (tickets) in any one month's drawing for a campaign. This limit is identical for both methods of entry below: it makes no difference whether an entry was earned by posting a Story or received by mail. Once you hold 10 entries for a month, further Stories and further mailed cards do not add entries to that month. Reaching the limit does not affect any other reward, and does not affect your entries in any other month.

Free Alternate Method of Entry

No purchase, posting, or content creation is required to enter or win, and an entry received by mail has exactly the same chance of winning as an entry earned by posting a Story. To enter for free without posting, hand-print your full name, address, email address, the phone number registered to your Signet account, and the campaign name on a 3x5 card and mail it in an envelope with sufficient postage to: Frienda Co. - Signet Giveaway Entry, 300 Oakwood Ct., Jefferson Hills, PA 15025.

Limit one (1) AMOE entry per outer envelope. There is no separate cap on mailed entries: you may mail as many as you wish, each in its own envelope, up to the same 10-entry monthly limit that applies to Stories. To be credited to a given month's drawing, a card must be postmarked during that month and received before that month's entries close (see Section 04). A card received after a month has closed is entered into the next open month. Each AMOE entry receives one (1) entry (ticket), exactly the same as one verified qualifying Story, and has exactly the same chance of winning. AMOE entrants must meet the same eligibility requirements as all other entrants, and must have a Signet account (which is free, and requires no purchase or payment of any kind) so that entries can be credited and a prize delivered.

Mailed entries are entered manually. Neither the Sponsor nor the Administrator is responsible for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, damaged, illegible, or bearing insufficient postage, or for any failure of the mail. Proof of mailing does not constitute proof of delivery or of entry. Entries that cannot be matched to an eligible Signet account cannot be credited.

You can check whether your entries were credited: when a month closes, the complete list of entrants and their ticket counts is published (see Section 06). If your entries are not shown, contact the Administrator before the drawing.

For each calendar month, one (1) potential winner is selected in a random, ticket-weighted drawing from all eligible entries credited to that month. Each entry (ticket) is one chance to win. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for that month; those totals, and each entrant's ticket count, are published.

The drawing is publicly verifiable, and the Administrator cannot influence it

When a month's entries close, the Administrator publishes the complete list of entrants and their ticket counts, together with a SHA-256 cryptographic fingerprint of that list, at signwithsignet.com/giveaway. At the same time, and before the winner is known to anyone, the Administrator names in advance a specific future round of drand, a public randomness beacon operated by an independent group of organizations (the League of Entropy). The value of that round does not exist at the time it is named and cannot be predicted by the Administrator, the Sponsor, or any entrant.

Approximately twenty-four (24) hours later, once drand has published that round, the winning ticket is determined solely by the following calculation: the winning ticket number equals SHA-256(fingerprint + ":" + drand randomness), interpreted as an integer, modulo the total number of tickets. The entrant holding that ticket wins. The Administrator makes no selection of any kind.

Every input to that calculation is published, and any entrant or member of the public may independently recompute the result and confirm that the announced winner is the only winner the published inputs could produce.

One (1) prize is awarded per monthly drawing. The prize, and its approximate retail value (ARV), are stated on the campaign page and on that month's drawing page before entries close. The prize is non-transferable, and no cash or other substitution is permitted except by the Sponsor, which reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

Where the prize is a gift card or store credit, it is governed by the issuer's or the Sponsor's terms, including any expiration consistent with applicable gift-card law. Any difference between the stated ARV and the actual value of the prize will not be awarded.

The potential winner will be notified using the contact information associated with their Signet account (which may include in-app notification and SMS) and will be identified by social handle on the public drawing page. The potential winner must respond and complete any required claim steps within 7 days of the first notification attempt. Failure to respond by the deadline, an undeliverable notification, or non-compliance with these Official Rules may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner, time permitting.

A drawing that is set aside is never deleted. It remains published, with the reason it was set aside, the winner it originally produced, and the randomness that produced them. Any re-drawing uses the SAME entrant list as the drawing it replaces (no entry can be added to a month once that month has been published), and, exactly like a first drawing, it must name its drand round approximately twenty-four (24) hours in advance and cannot be conducted before that round has been published by drand. The re-drawing and the drawing it replaced are linked to each other on the public page, so any month that has been drawn more than once says so, prominently, and can be compared side by side.

All federal, state, and local taxes on a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Where the value of a prize is USD 600 or more, the Sponsor will collect a completed Form W-9 (or equivalent tax information) from the potential winner before the prize is fulfilled, and will issue any required Form 1099. The Administrator does not collect or store tax identification numbers. A potential winner who does not provide the required tax information within ten (10) days of being asked may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected, time permitting. Winners are encouraged to consult their own tax advisor.

Prize value limits. The approximate retail value of a grand prize will be less than USD 5,000. Prizes at or above that value require the promotion to be registered and bonded with certain states (including New York and Florida) before it is offered; the platform does not permit a Sponsor to configure a prize at or above that value, so no such prize is offered through Signet.

Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize the winner consents to the use of their name, social handle, likeness, and entry content by the Sponsor and the Administrator for advertising, promotional, and trade purposes, in any media, without further notice, review, or compensation. Entrants also agree that their social handle and ticket count appear in the published entrant list for the month they entered, which is what makes the drawing independently verifiable.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Sponsor, the Administrator, and their respective affiliates and agents are not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries, technical failures, or any injury or damage arising from participation in the Giveaway or acceptance, possession, or use of a prize. By entering, you release these parties from all such claims.

The Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta, TikTok, ByteDance, or any social media platform. You release these platforms from any responsibility in connection with the Giveaway.

Verification of qualifying posts is performed by automated checks that run on a schedule, not by hand and not in real time. Earning an entry depends on a post passing verification; entries and rewards are not guaranteed. An entry is credited to the month the Story was posted, so a delay in verification does not change which drawing you are in.

These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Personal information collected in connection with the Giveaway is handled in accordance with the Signet Privacy Policy. Date of birth and state of residence are collected solely to determine eligibility and are not published.
